Unveiling:
This concept car was premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.
Purpose:
It served as a teaser for the production hybrid model of the Yaris, which was launched in Europe in 2012.
Design Features:
The concept incorporated design elements aimed at fuel efficiency and aerodynamics, including a small upper grille, heavily contoured headlights, a rear spoiler for airflow management, and underbody cladding.
Hybrid System:
The “HSD” in its name stands for Hybrid Synergy Drive, Toyota’s full hybrid technology, which allows for fully electric driving, particularly effective in urban environments with zero CO2, NOX, and particulate emissions in all-electric mode.
